MPSD Strategic Plan 2023-2025
The Manitowoc Public School District is developing a three-year Strategic Plan (2023-2025) to set top district priorities and goals, as well as strategies to measure and achieve those goals. This plan is being created with input from MPSD staff, families, community members and the Board of Education. It will guide the district’s future direction and align efforts to seek continuous improvement and successful outcomes for all students.
MPSD has much to be proud of and we want to celebrate and support all we are doing well. We also want to honestly face our challenges and develop successful plans for improvement.
Thank you for taking the time to give your input on our strategic plan survey! We will use your thoughts to help shape our future!
MPSD surveyed Board members, districtwide staff, families and community members between August and October. Listening sessions with staff and board members will be held in October and November.
Stakeholders are welcome to provide input at any time by contacting Interim Superintendent James Feil and Board of Education members or speaking during the public comment section of Board meetings.

BACKGROUND
In May 2022 Board of Education President Stacey Soeldner announced plans to seek a facilitator to help the district create a Strategic Plan.
In June and July 2022 the board interviewed three strategic plan facilitators: School Exec Connect, Brett W. Norell Healthcare Solutions and Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB). The board also considered but did not interview a fourth facilitator, Howick Associates.
In July the board hired Brett W. Norell Healthcare Solutions to facilitate the strategic planning process, gather input from stakeholders and draft a plan with Interim Superintendent James Feil and the board for hopeful approval in January 2023.
