Discovering Strengths. Building Confidence.
About Explore
Explore is a personalized pathway designed to help students reconnect with learning, build confidence, and develop the academic, social, and organizational skills needed for long-term success.
Students learn in a smaller, supportive environment where strong relationships, individualized instruction, and meaningful experiences help them overcome challenges and rediscover their potential. Every student receives the guidance and encouragement they need while remaining focused on future success.
What Learning Looks Like
Small-Group Academic Learning
Students participate in teacher-led academic seminars aligned with Wisconsin Academic Standards. Small class sizes allow teachers to provide individualized instruction, immediate feedback, and targeted support in core academic subjects.
Hands-On Learning
Learning comes to life through project-based experiences that connect academic concepts to students' interests and real-world situations. Students build a Growth Portfolio that showcases their progress, learning, and accomplishments over time.
Advisory & Mentorship
Every student is paired with a dedicated advisor who provides daily check-ins, helps monitor academic progress, supports goal setting, and serves as a consistent connection between school and home.
Building Life Skills
Students receive explicit instruction and support in executive functioning skills such as:
- Organization
- Time management
- Emotional regulation
- Goal setting
- Self-monitoring
These skills help students become more confident, independent learners both inside and outside the classroom.
A Whole-Student Approach
Success at Explore means supporting the whole child.
Students may receive individualized academic support, behavioral coaching, counseling services, and opportunities to participate in community learning experiences. Every support is designed to help students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally while building confidence for the future.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
Learning doesn't stop at the school doors.
Students participate in community-based experiences such as environmental learning, career and college visits, public library learning labs, local business tours, and other activities that connect classroom learning to the world around them. These experiences encourage curiosity, strengthen relationships, and help students discover future possibilities.
Who Is Explore For?
