Uploaded Image

The Manitowoc Public School District, in partnership with Chartwells and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, is committed to ensuring children have access to healthy, nutritious meals all summer long.

Through the Summer Food Service Program, free meals are available to all children and teens age 18 and younger at participating locations throughout the community. No registration, paperwork, or income qualifications are required.

Families can choose from on-site meal service at select locations, and some sites also offer to-go meal options for weekends and school breaks.

Explore the meal sites below to find dates, times, and service options available near you. We look forward to serving local families throughout the summer!

Free Summer Meal Programs

Two meal service options will be available throughout the community this summer.

  1. On‑Site Meal Service
On‑Site Meal Service means that programming is taking place at that location, and students will eat their meals at the school or on a preplanned field trip that has been coordinated with the Food Service Department.
    • On‑site meals are open to all children 18 years of age or younger, including members of the public.
    • Entry procedures for school buildings will be determined by each individual school.
  2. To‑Go Meal Service

To‑Go Meal Service allows families to take meals home for the weekend.

    • Families may pick up meals for each child registered under their household (not limited to MPSD students).
    • Each child may receive up to six (6) meals, which include:
      • Friday: Breakfast & Lunch
      • Saturday: Breakfast & Lunch
      • Sunday: Breakfast & Lunch
    • Meals may be picked up by parents, students, or an assigned family representative.
    • All meals distributed will be recorded by household name at the time of pickup. Further instructions to come.
    • Duplicate meal distribution will not be allowed.
    • Dates and times for To‑Go Meal Service are listed under each participating location.
  3. Summer menus are created to cover the entire summer program. Please make sure you are double checking location serving days and times, as menus are used across multiple sites.
