The Manitowoc Lincoln Girls’ High School Tennis Team is open to girls in grades 9-12. It is a no-cut program so all girls that go out will make the team. Our goal is to help players become the best players they can be and to develop an enjoyment of this lifelong sport. Depending on the amount of players, we will have a varsity and junior varsity team.
The girls’ tennis season starts the first or second week of August and runs through the end of September for junior varsity players and into the beginning or middle of October for the varsity players. Our practice location is at Red Arrow Park and our home matches are at Lincoln Park. We split the practices into two groups, which meet at two different times. Before school starts, practices are in the morning. After school starts, they practices are after school. Varsity and junior varsity players play a full Fox River Classic Conference (FRCC) schedule as well as non- conference matches.
Interested in joining our team? An informational meeting is held in June and an in-season meeting is typically held in August. Please reach out to Coach Henschel at henschels@mpsd.school if interested in learning more about this great opportunity.
