Principal Micah Hoffman

As your principal, I am passionate about education and bring a strong background in the art of teaching. I grew up in Kansas and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). After serving as the band director in Louisiana, I moved to Wisconsin to pursue a Master’s Degree in Music eventually becoming the Director of Bands right here at Lincoln High School. 

As a staunch advocate for public education, I obtained my Certificate in Educational Leadership in 2015 and served as an Associate Principal at Green Bay West High School for six years.  All of this prepared me to lead Lincoln High School into its second century. 

Outside of school, I reside in Manitowoc with my wife Kristin, our three children, and our Bernese Mountain Dog.

Associate Principal Ben Ruechel

Hello, my name is Ben Ruechel and I am thrilled to serve the Lincoln High School students and staff as the Associate Principal! 

I grew up and graduated from Oconto High School in Wisconsin and graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Madison with a Bachelor of Arts in both History and Spanish. In my time at UW, I also played linebacker for the Wisconsin Football team. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree, I continued my education in Madison and earned my Master's in Curriculum & Instruction.

While not at school, I enjoy spending time outdoors, time with my family, and supporting Ships co-curricular events.

I view each and every day as an opportunity to work with the best students any educator could ask for. My goal is for all LHS students to leave Lincoln a better person than the first day they walked these historic halls and to positively impact their communities.

Associate Principal Cody Nielsen

My name is Cody Nielsen and it is my pleasure to serve the Manitowoc Public School District as an Associate Principal at Lincoln High School. I am coming to you with 6 years of classroom teaching experience all of which were in Special Education. I was born and raised in Oconto Falls, Wisconsin. I attended the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education. During my time at UWSP I was a 4 year letterwinner in Wrestling as well as a member of our Student Athletic Advisory Committee.

I am eager for my family and I to create strong roots in this beautiful city and establish long and lasting relationships with members of this community. My goal as an Associate Principal is to make sure each kid leaves Lincoln feeling they have a purpose and are appreciated while attending school here. I will continue to always improve my relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members to strengthen the bond between Lincoln High School and the city of Manitowoc.

Director of Athletics & Activities Stan Diedrich

I am honored and humbled to have the opportunity to be activities and athletics director for the Manitowoc Public School District.  

The person I am today is in large part because of three things: my family, the Manitowoc Public School District and the Hilbert Public School District.  I have been blessed to be around caring, compassionate, and high character people my entire life. 

I received a great education and was introduced to playing sports and coaching sports in Manitowoc.  I also had very supportive teachers that I worked with in both Manitowoc and Hilbert that allowed me to continue to learn as I moved along. 

Those foundational beliefs in trying to do things the "right" way, helping all people, and building relationships is what I will strive for in my role as activities and athletics director.  It is great to be home; once a Ship - always a Ship!
