Wilson Athletics
Some of the most rewarding school experiences involve participation in athletics. Athletics provides opportunities for learning that are difficult to duplicate in other school activities. Lessons in sportsmanship, teamwork, competition and how to win and lose gracefully are integral parts of our athletic program. Athletic participation plays an important part in helping students develop a healthy self-concept, healthy body, improves school spirit, and helps students develop pride in their school.
The major objective of the educational-based athletic program is to provide wholesome opportunities for students to develop positive leadership habits and attitudes of social and group interaction. Our coaching leadership is of the highest quality and will provide athletes with examples of exemplary behavior. The measurement of leadership success should not be measured in terms of the tangible evidence of the victories and defeats, but instead from the caring, creative, committed, and collaborative efforts, that are the major objectives of Manitowoc Public School District athletics. The athletic program should always be consistent with the general objectives of the school and athletic administration is oriented in the general policies of Lincoln High School and the WIAA.

Wilson Middle School is pleased to announce that for the 2025-2026 school year, students will not have to pay athletic participation fees and do not need to have a medical physical completed!

At Wilson Middle School, we are proud to support our Warhawks! To ensure a fun and respectful experience for everyone, we ask all attendees to follow these important home game expectations:
- Respectful behavior is expected at all times - it’s the Warhawk way!
- No carry-ins are allowed, including footballs, athletic gear, skateboards, bikes, food, or beverages.
- No re-entry - if you leave the field, we’ll see you at the next game!
- Concessions will be available, so please support our stand for snacks and drinks.
Remember: All school expectations apply at all school-sponsored events. Let’s show our pride and keep Warhawk games safe, respectful, and spirited!
