Anna is a seasoned educator and school leader with over 20 years of dedicated service within the Manitowoc Public School District. Her extensive career includes 17 years as a teacher, three years as an Associate Principal at Wilson Middle School, and one year as the Principal of Jackson Elementary School. With a deep passion for fostering educational excellence, Anna has played a pivotal role in shaping the academic and social-emotional development of students throughout her career.
Anna holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Silver Lake College, a Master of Arts in Educational Technology from Marian University, and a Master of Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Her diverse educational background, combined with her hands-on experience in the classroom and leadership roles, has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities in today’s schools. Anna is committed to creating a collaborative and inclusive school culture where both students and staff can thrive.
Amanda Pakala was an English Language Arts teacher at Wilson for eight years. She has taught classes including accelerated English classes, Creative Communications and Reading Strategies. She co-led a school-wide newspaper and developed a peer tutoring after school program.
Amanda Pakala earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in English from UW-Oshkosh in 2015 and will earn a Master's of Education degree with Principal Licensure from Viterbo University in June 2023. She won the Wisconsin Council of Teachers of English (WCTE) Nancy Hoef's Award for Outstanding First-Year Teachers in 2016. She has served as a teacher mentor to new teachers and been a member of Wilson's Leadership Team since 2017. She recently obtained another certification in Geography to be able to teach 7th grade geography classes.
