Tuesday, Aug. 13 - MIDDLE PICTURE DAY & RESOURCE FAIR - 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the gym - Get your picture taken, pay fees, fill out the new sports form, talk to our school resources, community partners, free haircuts and more

Thursday, Aug. 15 - McKINLEY ACADEMY PICTURE DAY
- 12 to 3 p.m. - Get your picture taken, drop of school supplies, fill out forms and more

Tuesday, Aug. 27 - ELEMENTARY OPEN HOUSES - 4 to 6 p.m. - Meet your teachers, drop off school supplies and tour your school

MPSD BACK TO SCHOOL CARNIVAL
- 3 to 7 p.m. at Stangel Learning Community, 1002 E Cedar Ave, Manitowoc - ALL MPSD students and families are invited to attend! There will be food, games and prizes!
MIDDLE SCHOOL OPEN HOUSES - 4 to 6 p.m. - Meet your teachers, drop off school supplies and tour your school

Thursday, Aug. 29
TRANSITION DAY
- 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Breakfast (7:25-7:55am) and Lunch (12-12:30) will be provided - Orientation for all 6th and 9th graders and all grades 6-12 students who are new to MPSD (Washington, Wilson, McKinley Academy and Lincoln)
LINCOLN PICTURE DAY - 12 to 4 p.m. in the auditorium - get your picture taken (seniors will need a photo for their school ID only), pay fees, purchase sports passes and more 

Friday, Aug. 30 and Monday, Sept. 2 (Labor Day) - NO SCHOOL for students and staff

Tuesday, Sept. 3 - FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL for all students

4K-12 REGISTRATION


New this year! MPSD now has an online registration system. ALL families will be required to submit registration - here's how. You will need your child’s birth certificate and proof of residency. We will no longer have paper copies. 

Need Assistance? Email [email protected] or call (920) 686-4777 to schedule an appointment. All appointments are held at the MPSD Administration Office at 2902 Lindbergh Drive, Manitowoc. Office hours are Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. (Office is closed 11:00 am - Noon daily).

UPDATING ADDRESSES

New for this school year! If your family has moved, or plan to move, MPSD will now require proof of a new address. This could be a new driver’s license, utility bill or bank statement. You can either email or bring it in, so we can update it for you! Any questions, contact your school office.


4-YEAR-OLD KINDERGARTEN

MPSD offers a free, five-day-a-week, half-day 4K program to nurture our youngest students' academic and social development and skills. We have three options for 4K sites - learn more about 4K and register here!


NEW: AFTER-SCHOOL CLUB FOR GRADES 6-8

We are so excited to host our own site for the Boys and Girls Club right at Washington!! Programming includes academic support, career development, leadership opportunities, arts, and more! Registration opens here on August 5! 

OTHER RESOURCES

Bus Transportation

Many students are transported to and from school each day through a contract with Brandt Buses, Inc. Routes will be posted by the middle of August on the MPSD and Brandt Bus website (brandtbuses.com).

FREE TRANSPORTATION is provided for: All K-12 public and private school students who reside two miles or more from school (as designated for their attendance area); 4K-students; students who are homeless; and some students in out-of-home placements, such as foster care.
More bus information

All 6-12th grade students are able to ride the Maritime Metro City Bus for free as an option to be transported to/from school. Students will need to present his/her student ID card when boarding the bus.

Food Services - Breakfast / Lunch

Meal menus on Nutrislice’s website. 2024-25 Food Services information (see page 4). Free & Reduced School Meals Program - For the 2024-2025 School Year, families do not need to fill out the Free & Reduced Meals Application.

  • 4K Student Fee: $5
  • Elementary Student Fee Grades K-5: $25
  • Middle School Student Fees Grades 6-8: $40
  • Washington Yearbook: $20 (Optional Purchase)
  • Wilson Yearbook: $25 (Optional Purchase)
  • Lincoln High School Student Fees Grades 9-12: $50
  • LHS Yearbook Purchase: $60 (Optional Purchase)
  • Athletic Participation Fee: $50 (If student participates in athletic activities)
  • Instrument Rental Fee (optional): $50
  • Missing/Damaged Chromebook: $150
  • Missing Chromebook Charger: $15


Fees can be paid online or at the school office with cash, check, or credit card. Processing fee is $2 per credit card transaction and free for Debit Card/ACH/eCheck transactions. For online payments, log into your Infinite Campus Parent Portal and select the “Fees” tab. Infinite Campus can be accessed via the Manitowoc Public School District Website (Parent Resources > Infinite Campus) or this QR code. If you do not have access to the Infinite Campus Parent Portal, please contact your school secretary. All checks can be made payable to the MPSD.

    Washington Middle Athletic Forms
    MPSD requires sports participants in grades 7-12 to have a physical exam card on file. Blank cards are available in the office at both the middle schools and the high school and must be completed by a physician. The card is valid for two years.
