We want to hear from you! Your voice matters!
The Manitowoc Public School District is hiring the district's next Superintendent and we are seeking community input about what is important to you as we choose our district leader.
SUPERINTENDENT FINALIST INTERVIEWS
The MPSD Board of Education is seeking interested students, staff, parents/guardians and community members to help interview finalists for the next district Superintendent.
Applications for the Superintendent position are due March 7, and the Board is planning to hold first-round interviews on March 25 and 27. If the Board advances candidates as finalists, a final round of interviews will be held on April 4. At this stage, the finalists will participate in interviews with both the Board of Education, as well as a panel composed of students, staff, parents/guardians and community representatives.
Board members invite anyone who is interested in serving on that panel to apply by filling out this Interest Form on or before Monday, March 3, 2025 (form link is https://bit.ly/mpsd-supt-panel). Those interested must be available during the day on Friday, April 4, 2025 from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
For any questions regarding the responsibilities of the finalist interviews panel, please contact Patti Vickman, consultant with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards (WASB), which the Board hired to assist with the Superintendent search. (

The Board truly values our community’s engagement in this important hiring process, and we want to provide an opportunity to meet any selected finalists, ask them questions and provide feedback to the Board. We thank all who are willing to contribute their time and perspectives in selecting the district’s next leader.
COMMUNITY SURVEY
We also greatly appreciate all staff, families and community members who completed a survey earlier this month sharing their key priorities and desired qualities in the district’s next Superintendent.
MPSD asked staff, families and community members to complete a survey, open from Feb. 7 to 17, identifying their key priorities and desired qualities for the next Superintendent.
Your input was invaluable in shaping the leadership profile and interview process and helping us select a leader who will best serve our students, staff and community. Thank you for your participation!
