The Rahr Memorial School Forest has been an outdoor education facility for MPSD students for over fifty years. It is located along the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan and boasts nearly 300 acres of mixed forests, stands of pine, sand dunes, fields, a swamp, and a pond; all of which offer a unique learning environment. The School Forest averages around 9,000 visitors annually.
The Rahr Memorial School Forest connects people and nature through exploration,
wonder and questioning to promote a sustainable future.
