School of Recognition

Congratulations to Franklin and Madison Elementary Schools and Washington Jr. High School for being named among 178 Wisconsin Title 1 Schools of Recognition. This is Madison's 6th consecutive year earning the award!

The three schools are "Beating-the-Odds Schools" which are in the top 25 percent of high-poverty Wisconsin schools and have above-average student achievement in reading and mathematics when compared to schools from similarly sized districts, schools, grade configurations and poverty levels. An award ceremony will be held at the State Capitol on May 1.
